NOVA’s Making Stuff
What will the future bring, and what will it be made of? Perhaps invisibility cloaks, spider silk that is stronger than steel, plastics made of sugar that dissolve in landfills, self-healing military vehicles, smart pills and micro-robots that zap diseases, or clothes that monitor your mood! Join us as we investigate and conduct experiments in material science to make stuff stronger, faster, smarter, wilder, colder and safer.

Classes begin promptly at 3 p.m. and are 2 hours in length.

Dates for the upcoming term:

June 1 – What is Material Science?
June 15 – Making stuff STRONGER
June 29 – Making stuff SMALLER and FASTER
July 13 – Making stuff CLEANER & SMARTER
July  27 – Making stuff COLDER
Aug. 10 – Making Stuff video project and showcase
