What amenities & services do registered media receive?

We have everything you need to make delivering the best eclipse coverage easy.

  • Free eclipse glasses. To keep your eyes safe during the big event. 
  • Free access to programs. Visit any of the indoor and outdoor activities and special guest speaker sessions to capture great interviews and photographs.
  • Exclusive rooftop access. Record amazing video and photographs from the media-only rooftop filming and photography area. 
  • Fully-equipped media room. To ensure you have everything you need, including privacy, to do great work. The media room and interview areas are located on the 3rd floor. The Media room has several windows, each with a spectacular view of the city skyline. 
  • Dedicated media liaison. To answer all your questions and assist you with arranging interviews with guest speakers and notable attendees.
  • Work stations. Computers with high-speed internet.
  • Printers, fax machine, and office supplies. We even have paper clips.
  • Phones and charging stations. To keep all your electrical devices powered.
  • Cable television. So you can monitor coverage.
  • Secure storage area. So you don't have to lug your extra gear and belongings around all day. 
  • Private and semi-private interview spaces. In case you need a quiet area.
  • Eclipse resources. A variety of background information and one-pagers on everything eclipse, Nashville, and Adventure Science Center.
  • Snacks, soft drinks, water, and coffee. To keep your strength up.

Who Can Register for an Eclipse Media Pass?


  1. Affiliated/Credentialed Media (Broadcast, Online, Newspapers, Magazines, Newsletters, etc.) You may be asked to provide valid press credentials which may include:
  • A by-lined article published by your employing news agency within the past six months
  • A copy of publication masthead listing your primary position as an editor or reporter
  • Official photo identification issued by your employing news agency or the government
  1. Freelance Journalists  You must provide:
  • A signed letter on company letterhead from your assignment editor confirming your assignment to cover the event
  • A by-lined story appearing in a verifiable print or electronic publication dated within the last six months
  1. Bloggers  You must provide:
  • Three of your most recent blog posts

How do I register?

Send an email to and include:

  1. Your first and last name
  2. Number and, if possible, names of additional camera crew or other journalists accompanying you
  3. Contact number
  4. Date(s) you plan on being at Adventure Science Center
  5. Name of the news agency, publication, or blog you will be representing
  6. Attach credentials to the email (see Who Can Register above for details).
  7. A description of any special needs or resources we could provide to make your work easier

How will my registration be confirmed?

You will receive an email confirmation of your registration within 2 business days. When you arrive at the science center, check-in at the front desk and pick up your media badge. Our guest services staff will guide you to the media room where you can store your gear securely or get straight to work.
