Family Science Labs

At Adventure Science Center, we believe the best way to learn science is to experience it first-hand!

Our Family Science Labs offer opportunities for parents and homeschool teachers to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in engaging, hands-on ways with their children and/or students. Each of our levels present new challenges with age-appropriate educational materials and activities to spark excitement in all participants.

  • Explorers & Investigators: $5 per child

JUNE | Conservation Science

Conservation Science

We only have one planet Earth, so it’s up to us to keep it thriving! Come get a crash course in some exciting conservation topics and learn why they’re so important in our lives.

Investigators  |  What's my Footprint?!

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Did you know that YOU have an actual “footprint” that you are leaving on the earth? Let’s investigate ways science is making our lives easier AND our “footprints” smaller!

June 7June 10

Explorers  |  Why Recycle?

Why do we say “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”? Learn how using less is a way of sharing resources, and ways we can help keep our Earth healthy!!

June 21June 24

Researchers  |  Ecological Footprints

Everything you do, eat, and wear has an impact on something or someone else, which is known as your “footprint”. Evaluate what yours is, and discover the science of how to minimize it!

Electricity & Circuits

Get ready for some sparks to fly, because we’re exploring electricity and circuits this month! From circuit-building to electric currents, come learn the basics of this vital science.

Investigators  |  Electrical Engineering 101

We use electricity ALL THE TIME! But how does it work? Why does it work? Let’s discover the science behind this incredible technology!

August 2August 5

Explorers  |  It's Electric!

What is electricity, and how does it work? Let’s discover the science behind this incredible technology, while designing our own circuits!

August 16

Researchers  |  Electrical Engineering

Electricity. We use, see it, maybe even smell it most every day. But have you ever wondered why and how it works? Let’s engineer circuits and discover how electricity does work for us!

OCTOBER | What is Autumn?

What is Autumn?

The air is crisp, the leaves are changing, and it’s a perfect time to explore the science behind what’s actually happening here each fall.

Ticket links coming soon!

Investigators  |  Autumn Unleashed

What makes autumn? Is it the colors? The temperature? Let’s investigate how seasons happen and why FALL is so awesome!

Explorers  |  Crisp, Colorful & Crackling

As the Leaves begin to change color and the air gets a little cooler, it’s time for a special fall-themed Little Labe where we will explore the science that makes this season to incredible!!

Researchers  |  Autumnal Science

Is earth the only planet that experiences season-changes? Let’s discover what makes autumn happen here on Earth, and if that’s possible on any other planets!
