Position overview

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for accelerating growth through advertising across emerging and mature digital channels and will lead the development of successful and long-term digital marketing strategies. This position will work across cross-functional teams to develop insights, set strategic direction and implementation. The ideal candidate has demonstrated proficiency in data-driven marketing and a track record of conducting multi-pronged analyses in order to uncover lead generation and branding opportunities in a variety of channels. This position is responsible for driving revenue, lead generation and membership growth through integrated marketing and advertising channels – through both inbound and outbound recruitment efforts.

Job essentials:

  • Serve as thought leader on digital trends and emerging technologies. Lead SEO, SEM and accompanying content and advertising strategies and development for all digital platforms in order to generate leads, increase engagement rates and elevate the ASC brand
  • Lead marketing automation software processes and marketing tactics; determine and drive strategies to generate leads, increase awareness and build brand equity
  • Forecast and analyze performance trends and audience engagement; monitor trends in customer behavior and media usage, translating them into successful strategies and campaigns and identifying new methods to maximize mission and revenue
  • Drive conversion strategy across digital platforms, including marketing automation, social media, newsletters, website, email marketing and presentation platforms
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing. Write and edit all content for website, social media channels, email marketing and newsletters, press releases, media advisories, video scripts, reports and publications. Create original content to market and advance the ASC brand
  • Track and monitor performance for all digital content projects through project management software. Provide ongoing feedback and analytics with the goal to improve response, engagement and revenue. Ensure timely delivery of all digital marketing projects

Job knowledge, skills, abilities, traits and qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in managing comprehensive advertising and marketing strategies, analytics and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or closely related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of marketing and advertising experience required

Brand Manager & Graphic Designer (full time)

Position overview

The Brand Manager and Graphic Designer will lead design, digital and user experience production to help create and manage integrated marketing programs and tools from concept to completion that deliver measurable business results. This position is responsible to all internal departments with the common goal to create deliverables that both represent ASC exhibits, drive guest experiences and generate leads. These strategies and programs will target both B2B and B2C audiences both online and offline. The role will drive and elevate ASC’s brand through a variety of marketing and communications channels by ensuring creative content, style and messaging aligns with ASC’s mission and guiding principles.

Essential job functions

  • Drive, develop and deliver creative content that represents the look and feel of ASC exhibits by producing a product that evokes and inspires guests and stakeholders
  • Lead creative for integrated marketing campaigns that will be taken into all forms of advertising for print, digital and exhibits support
  • Build interactive content appropriate for a variety of digital channels including social media channels, website, etc. Utilize digital platforms for engaging brand content, design split tests for landing pages and display ads and create multidimensional innovative social ads campaigns
  • Serve as project manager for all creative deliverables. Prioritize and deliver exceptional designs at high volumes under tight deadlines. Own, update and manage calendar of all creative deliverables, track progress and produce finished, high-quality deliverables on time. Use project management software to manage and track progress of projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 6 years of experience in an agency setting or advertising / marketing firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or closely related field
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and significant experience with videography and video-editing, including familiarity with Adobe Premiere, After Effects or similar software. Oversee agency or outsourced video work as needed.

Membership Coordinator (full time)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Members are at the heart of Adventure Science Center. Adventure Science Center strives to deliver our members consistent, quality service with enthusiasm, positive attitude and respect. This position is responsible for executing the member experience during their visit to the Science Center, especially during peak hours and weekends. This position will work closely with the Guest Services team to ensure all members experience consistent, quality service. The Member Coordinator will also assist with back office duties, such as data entry, reporting, and phone customer service as needed. Their workweek will mostly be at front-of-house assisting members, but may include back office completing administrative tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead on-floor position for membership and member services, including, but not limited to, check-in, membership transactions and other guest services duties related to members.

  • Assist with data entry and reporting of membership transactions in Altru, especially on weekends.

Overnight Adventure Guide (part-time / as needed)

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a PART-TIME position to assist with the implementation of Overnight Adventures at the Adventure Science Center. The Overnight Adventure Guide is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests as an onsite host guiding groups through their schedule for the entire night, leading various science cart programs and light meal preparation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise and interact with large groups of campers and families in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain a high energy level to encourage learning and excitement during activities
  • Serve as an appropriate role-model for all campers and guests of the center, while representing the Adventure Science Center
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure safety and understanding of programming to all guests
  • Gather all materials needed for event programs and assuring all materials are setup and cleaned up in a timely matter.
  • Present exciting, up-to-date, hands-on pre-written science cart programming for overnight guests
  • MUST be available for overnight shifts primarily on Friday/Saturdays (4:30pm-9am)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate, all overnight staff must be at least 21 years of age
  • Comfortable in speaking to large groups on microphone and loud PA speaker
  • Strong desire to work with children and families
  • Camp experience or experience working with children
  • Proactive, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to manage large groups in a positive, educational environment
  • Follow proper building shut down procedures and ASC emergency protocol
  • CPR/First Aid Certification is a PLUS!

Exhibit Operator (part-time, seasonal)

The Adventure Science Center has a long standing tradition as one of Nashville’s premier family attractions. As an Exhibit Operator:

Gift Shop Associate (regular part-time and part-time-seasonal)

Adventure Science Center is expanding our Guest Services team. There are positions available for the weekend schedule at this time. We're looking for professionals who can display a strong work ethic, professionalism and upbeat positive attitude in a fast-paced customer service environment. .

Gift Shop Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide quality retail Customer Service through guest interactions and sales
  • Stay current on product and sales approaches by maintaining product knowledge
  • Keep Gift Shop stocked, organized and merchandised to Retail Managers standards
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory through proper receiving methods, cycle counts, and periodic full inventories
  • Gain and share full retail knowledge of Adventure Science Center products and services in order to service guests
  • Assist guests with finding educational games, kits and other store products to promote learning at home
  • Learn information to convey to guests in a an enthusiastic manner
  • Gift Shop Lead position added responsibilities as assisting manager in several retail functions as well as capability of running gift shop in manager’s absence.
