You and your young scientist (age 3-5) are invited to participate in age-appropriate lab activities, science craft, a movement activity and story time—all designed to strengthen emerging skills and ignite curiosity in young minds.

Butterfly Effect  |  April 22 & 25
Once a wiggly caterpillar and now a beautiful butterfly! Experience the butterfly effect, the metamorphosis of the caterpillar to the butterfly, and learn about other insects.

How Does Your Garden Grow?  |  May 13 & 16
Seed to plant, study the life cycle of plants and what they need to live and thrive.

Firefly Fun  |  June 10 & 13
Lightning bug. Firefly. Whatever you call it, come explore the how and why behind this special summer insect.

Human Body 101  |  July 15 & 18
Take a look inside the human body and learn more about the important parts like bones, the heart and the stomach, including what they do and how they do it.

Little Engineers  |  Aug. 19 & 22
Design it, build it, and test it! Explore what it means to be an engineer. Make structures and learn about making them stronger.

Germ Fighters  |  Sept. 16 & 19
Bacteria! Viruses! Germs! OH MY! Learn what makes the human body sick, how to prevent illness and how to fight the spread of germs.

Go Batty  |  Oct. 14 & 17
All about bats! Explore the world of these night time flying mammals, including how they hear and what they eat.

Winter Wonderland  |  Nov. 18 & 21
Grab a steamy cup of hot chocolate and cozy up for this winter theme. Examine “snow,” become a penguin to learn how they keep warm, and paint a mural of the Northern Lights.

Magnet Magic  |  Dec. 9 & 12
Explore the north (magnetic) pole and make some magnetic discoveries from the warmth of the Science Center!


RESERVATIONS:

Three ways to register*-
1. Register online now. (It is only necessary to purchase a ticket for any participating child. Accompanying parent does not need to purchase a separate ticket.)

Members: $8 per child (includes 1 parent)
OR SAVE and register for all three sessions for $20 per child

Non-members: $18 per child (includes 1 parent)
OR SAVE and register for all three sessions for $50 per child

*Registration fee includes general admission to Adventure Science Center.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
Parents are expected to participate with their children in all activities.
Please turn off and put away phones and pagers while attending the lab.
Any younger siblings in attendance must be confined to a stroller for the duration of the lab.
Excessively disruptive behavior may result in a participant being asked to leave the session. No refund will be granted.

Refund policy:
Cancellations made by the participant seven (7) days in advance of the workshop date will receive a full refund. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven (7) days in advance.

Cancellation policy:
In case of insufficient number of registered participants, Adventure Science Center reserves the right to cancel any program three days prior to the day of session. All registered participants will receive a full refund.

Weather policy:
In the event of inclement weather, participants should check the Science Center website before leaving home, or call the main phone line at 615-862-5160. If the Science Center is open, but the participant does not wish to risk travel, the prepaid fee will be applied to another Little Lab date.
