Kids (and curious grown-ups!) can get up close with trucks and heavy-duty vehicles they normally only see from afar. Bring your excavator-obsessed toddler or any little vehicle fanatic for hands-on fun they’ll never forget! \nPack a picnic and make a morning of it! Our new outdoor picnic area will be open for families who want to relax and refuel. \nPlease note: Admission to Adventure Science Center is not included. No access to public restrooms is provided without a science center admission ticket \n \nQuieter Hour (9 am - 10am)\nFor guests who prefer a lower sensory experience\, during this time: \n\n\nVehicle horns and sirens will be restricted whenever possible \n\n\nSome vehicles will have horns temporarily disabled \n\n\nActivity areas will operate at lower sound levels \n\n\nA limited number of child-sized noise-canceling headphones will be available to borrow while supplies last. To combat this inequity and inspire a life-long love of STEM Adventure Science Center hosts TWISTER yearly. This event is a one-day STEM conference for high school girls.  Since its inception in 2003\, Adventure Science Center’s TWISTER Conference has impacted more than 1500 attendees and over 400 women have volunteered as presenters. February 2026 will be our 23rd annual TWISTER Conference!
