Tennessee seniors with a passion for STEM can apply for a chance to win a $5\,000 or $2\,500 scholarship.  Application deadline: Friday\, January 23\, 2026 Apply NowHISTORY OF TWISTERAccording to the American Association of University Women (AAUW)\, women comprise only 28% of the workforce in science\, technology\, engineering\, art\, and math (STEAM). To combat this inequity and inspire a life-long love of STEM Adventure Science Center hosts TWISTER yearly. This event is a one-day STEM conference for high school girls.  Since its inception in 2003\, Adventure Science Center’s TWISTER Conference has impacted more than 1500 attendees and over 400 women have volunteered as presenters. February 2026 will be our 23rd annual TWISTER Conference!
