13th Anniversary: Science of Beer Festival

This unique, 21+ event unites the beer-lover and science enthusiast in everyone. In addition to enjoying unlimited craft beer samples from around the world, guests have access to the entire science center filled with interactive hands-on exhibits. Take in a starry show in the Sudekum Planetarium, watch brew-inspired live science demonstrations, and engage with local experts.

Each ticket to this one-of-a-kind beer festival includes:

  • Unlimited beer samples from local, national, and international breweries
  • Educational demonstrations diving into brew science
  • Kid-free, after-hours access to the science center
  • Shows in the award-winning Sudekum Planetarium

      • A Tennessee hop grower walks through the process of growing hops in Tennessee from planting to collaborating with the local brewery.
    • The Art & Science of Tasting Beer
      • Learn about sensory perception and how it impacts your "perfect pint" from an Advanced Cicerone and Certified BJCP Beer Judge.
    • Nashville's Brewing History
      • A brief look into Nashville's 200-year brewing history from the early 19th century through the modern-day craft-beer movement.
  • Planetarium Shows + Talks:
    • Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon Laser Show Sampler
      • Enjoy a sample-sized version of our sell-out laser show commemorating the 50th anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon.
    • Ask an Astronomer
      • Between laser shows, enjoy a few open sessions in the Sudekum Planetarium where you can enjoy a starry sky or a quick jump out to view a galaxy and ask our resident experts about all things space related.
