Physics of Flight

Take flight!

Have you been curious to know how birds fly or why airplane wings are shaped like they are? Bernoulli's principle is your answer!

Bernoulli's principle that an increase in the speed of moving air or a flowing fluid is accompanied by a decrease in the air or fluid's pressure. With our Physics of Flight exhibits, you can explore this principle in action as you test different wing shapes and see how airflow changes can affect flight.
