PLAN YOUR ADVENTURE

Don't miss our new and improved standards-based program offerings

We're ready to take your science adventure to the next level! Whether you're venturing to Adventure Science Center for the day or want to have programs brought to you, we offer a wide variety of STEAM programming that aligns with the updated Tennessee Science Grade Level Expectations (GLEs).

PREPARE

Explore our current program and planetarium offerings, then choose at least 2 possible dates for your field trip. You are required to have 1 adult per every 7 students. These chaperones are admitted for free. Field trips must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance, while additional STEM Labs must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance.
Pro-tip: Spring is a busy field trip season; plan a trip for October - February to avoid the crowds.

ESTIMATE

Estimate the total number of students, school teachers, and required chaperones planning to attend with your school, as well as the travel time from your school. Please make it clear that any adults who want to come on the field trip must pay the teacher before the field trip in order to receive the group rate. Any chaperones who arrive the day of the trip who have not paid the teacher must wait until 10 a.m. for entry and pay regular admission price.

RESERVE

Reservations may be requested by clicking here. If you have any questions please call(615) 862-5177.Please let the group reservationist know if special accommodations are needed, such as an ASL interpreter, wheelchairs, or other assistance for children. If you have children with sensory or anxiety issues, please let us know and we can loan you a sensory kit in trade for an I.D. Learn more about our accessibility >.

REVIEW

Look for your welcome packet to come in an email within two weeks of registration. Carefully review all registration information and call immediately with questions or concerns. Be sure to have all forms filled out prior to arrival.

VISITING

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to any scheduled program with an updated, accurate count of all students and adults. The lead school representative will be escorted inside to check-in and pay while a science educator conducts orientation on your bus. After orientation, it's time to embark on your adventure!

PLEASE NOTE:

  • A school identifier (either school nametags or matching shirts) is required and will not be provided by the science center. Teacher and chaperone nametags will be provided at check-in.
  • Have all of your students broken into groups and chaperones assigned prior to leaving the school. We do not have room for groups to effectively get organized at Adventure Science Center - please do this before arriving to the museum.
