April: Tinkering Garage + NEW Live Science Show

Step into Nashville's ultimate DIY-workshop! We'll provide the space and the resources and let your imaginations take it from there. We're talking REAL tools, REAL materials, and the freedom to innovate and explore a wide range of gadgets and contraptions. This family-friendly experience celebrates the entire design process from brainstorming to building, to testing and evaluating, and offers custom experiences for inventors at any age. Let your inner hacker-maker-tinkerer-inventor-designer out! Access to Tinkering Garage is included in the cost of general admission and will be on a first come, first serve basis. >> Click here to purchase tickets.

Important details:

  • Access is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • You will be seated with your group at a table that can seat up to 5 people. If you're in a party of 6 or more, you will be separated across two tables. Parties will not be combined. 
  • You will have up to 45 minutes to tinker. 
  • There are 8 tables in Tinkering Garage, so the max is 40 guests.
  • Each table has a bin of tools and materials that will be thoroughly santized between guests. 
  • Guests will be required to wear safety goggles at all times, regardless of whether or not they will be tinkering. Goggles will be provided to each guests upon entry and then thoroughly cleaned after each use. 
  • Guests 3 years old and older will be required to wear a cloth mask at all times, no exceptions.

NEW Live Science Show "Masters of Mimicry"

The month of April at Adventure Science Center is all about going ... and staying ... green! Masters of Mimicry is a 15 to 20 minute live demonstration that will transport you to the Amazon rainforest. The show features topics such as evolution, adaption, mimicry, and camouflage. Eager scientists-in-training will have several opportunities to participate and guests are always welcome to stay after the show to ask questions and interact with the demonstration a bit closer. 

Live Science Shows take place at Cosmic Ray's Thursday, Friday, and Monday at 12:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 11:45 am and 1:45 pm.

May: Tinkering Garage + NEW Live Science Show

The Live Science show for May is called Destination Digestion. Take a journey through the human body and learn how food is turned into energy in the Alimentary Canal. Explore the 7 parts of the digestive system along with several accessory organs that help make digestion possible. 

Live Science Shows take place at Cosmic Ray's Thursday, Friday, and Monday at 12:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 11:45 am and 1:45 pm.
