Join us for themed planetarium* shows, activities, and eclipse viewing! Plus, we'll have complimentary solar viewing glasses available for guests with valid day-of General Admission tickets. Partial view of the eclipse is 10:38 am–1:36 pm.
Saturday, October 14, is the next annular solar eclipse. If you're in the path of the eclipse, you’ll see an ‘annulus’ – meaning the Sun will look like a ring of light, with the Moon blocking out just the center. Nashville misses this path, so we won't catch the full annulus, but it is still an amazing astronomical event you don't want to miss.
This special day at the science center is a part of the 2023 Tennessee STEAM Festival.
P.S. On-site guests will be the first to hear an exciting announcement about the upcoming total solar eclipse in April 2024.
*Please note: tickets to shows in the Sudekum Planetarium are an additional cost.
