Vapor Vortex

Have you ever touched a tornado?

Using powerful fans and a splash of water, our vortex is formed by the motion of the fluid swirling rapidly around a center of the exhibit. As the fluid moves from the center of the exhibit, the speed and rate of rotation becomes smaller than at the center.

According to Sir Isaac Newton's First Law of Motion, the vortex will continue in a straight line unless something changes its direction — so try blowing on it and see what happens.
