The kitchen is one of the best science labs around!
In this day camp, campers will discover the chemistry behind the foods they eat as they mix, measure, and experiment. Along the way, they'll make predictions, test their ideas, and uncover the science hiding in their favorite recipes.
Food Allergy Notice: We want every camper to have a great experience at camp, not just attend. Because Kitchen Chemistry uses a variety of food ingredients, we aren't always able to accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions. If you're unsure whether this camp is a good fit, we're happy to help you find one that is. FAQs
Camp runs from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM with check-in running from 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM and check-out running from 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM.
For an additional fee, Before Care and After Care is available for those needing early check-in or late check-out.
Before Care runs from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM.
After Care runs from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM.
Any camper dropped off before 8:30 AM or after 4:00 PM will be charged the respective Before or After Care fee.

Adventure Science Center camp does not provide lunch or snacks. All campers should bring a snack with them each day and may either bring their own lunch or order food from our on-site STRATA Café. STRATA lunch orders must be completed and paid for on Monday morning for the entire week.
We do not encourage campers to bring money to camp. Their camp schedule does not include a stop in the gift shop.
We understand plans change! Please review the following cancellation policies.
SUMMER CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancel before April 1st - full refund minus $50.
Cancel prior to Week 1 of camp - 50% refund
Cancel after Week 1 of camp starts - no refund
NON-SUMMER CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY:
28 days or more from the first day of the camp session - full refund minus $10.
More than 14 days in advance first day of the camp session - 50% refund
Less than 14 days from the first day of the camp session - no refund
Refund requests will be calculated from the delivery date of the request. Please email camps@adventuresci.org to request a refund.
We are committed to creating an inclusive camp experience for every camper. We make every effort to support campers with a variety of needs, though some accommodations may be beyond our capacity. If your child has specific accommodations, needs, or considerations, please contact the Camp Office at (615) 401-5077. Our Camp Coordinator will follow up to discuss how we can best support your camper.
Subsidized Camp Opportunities
Adventure Science Center is proud to offer subsidized camp registration fees to families that participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, WIC) and the Families First/Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) programs. How to Enroll:- Fill out the subsidized camp request form here.
- Upload proof of aid at the end of the form, then submit the form.
- The camp coordinator will contact parents in the order they apply to our subsidized camp opportunities.
