Winter blues got you down? Consider this your cure: Science of Beer is back. This unique, 21+ event brings out the beer-lover and the science enthusiast in all of us.

Mead flight tastings from Savannah Bee Company
Live demonstrations exploring the science of brewing

Laser shows in our award-winning Sudekum Planetarium

Ask an Astronomer: 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm
Ever wondered why the planets are different colors or what the weather is like on each planet? Want to know how a black hole forms? Join our resident star expert to answer your out-of-this-world questions.

Flight of the Bees: A Mead Tasting Experience with Savannah Bee Co: 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:00 pm
Often referred to as "Nectar of the Gods, mead has been enjoyed for thousands of years by ancient civilizations like Vikings, Egyptians, & Greeks. Come celebrate the hardworking bees and learn about the complex and enticing range of mead flavors.

Science of Home Brewing: 8:00pm, 9:30pm
Curious about home brewing but not sure where to start? Music City Brewers will walk you through the essentials needed to turn grains, hops, and yeast into your very own craft beer.     

Ongoing Activities

Stop by the science booths to learn if you are a supertaster, compete in the Beer Goggles Gauntlet, or witness the impact of pressure change on beer cans.

Join us in our PongLab (aka Makerspace) to engineer an unbeatable beer pong mechanism
