Family Star Wars Day

"A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away," a movie franchise was created and sci-fi fanatics went wild. Now, we want to celebrate May the 4th with you with a Family Star Wars day at Adventure Science Center. Floor Activities

• Jedi Training Course
  • "Complete your training you must." Yoda will supervise our trainees as they undergo their Jedi training. Guests will undergo several training exercises including keeping Darth Vader (a balloon) in the air with a lightsaber, staying on the High Ground in Mustafar, and using quick feet to jump through hoops on Hoth. Upon completing Jedi training, the new Jedi's will receive a glowing crystal necklace.
• Yoda Headbands
  • Visitors can make a headpiece that features the iconic Lannik ears.
• Fizzy Death Star Experiments
  • Pick your own Death Star...then watch it explode. Explore what happens when baking soda mixes with vinegar in this fizzy acid-base reaction.

Activities in the i2 Makerspace

• We're turning the i2 Makerspace into the Millennium Falcon with special lighting and decorations. Enter this space to make an LED lightsaber for guests to use on their Jedi journey.
