Looking for a fun night in(side)? This winter, Adventure Science Center will stay open late for guests 18 years and older on the third Thursday of the month.

Want to get crafty in the i2 Makerspace, take a spin in the motion simulator, or catch a planetarium show? This is a great opportunity to enjoy a night of adventure, learning, and fun exclusively for the 18+ crowd that knows how to engage the child in all of us.

In addition to enjoying all the exhibits and interactives included in admission, the following highlighted areas will also be available to explore.

Planetarium Shows ($):

  • 5:15 pm - Incoming!
    • Discover the hard-hitting stories about how asteroids and comets have collided with our planet throughout history, changed the course of life on Earth, and shaped the world we know today. George Takei narrates this immersive full-dome experience.
  • 6:15 pm - Nightwatch
    • Learn how to locate and identify naked-eye constellations, bright stars, planets, and more in this live show! As the skies above us change with the seasons, so does the Nightwatch experience.
  • 7:15 pm - Taylaser (40 min)
    • With this dazzling laser show, you may find it hard not to get caught up so keep a wide-eyed gaze and sing along during this laser imagery created in-house by the Sudekum Planetarium team.

Live Science Shows:

  • 6:00 pm (20 min)
    • Watch our in-house scientists bring science to life in a LIVE demonstration.

Food Trucks:

  • TN Tatercakes
    • Purchase delicious dinner for TN Tatercakes food truck located just outside the front doors. Seating will be offered inside the science center.
