Guidelines for Additional Field Trip Adults

Welcome, parents!

Adventure Science Center welcomes everyone to visit, but certain parts of school field trips are reserved for students, school staff, and registered chaperones. This guide will help make your visit—and your child's visit—to the science center a smooth and fun experience.

Who counts as an additional adult?

If your school has told you to buy a ticket at the front desk when you arrive, you're an additional adult. Don't worry—we're still excited to have you! But, we do ask that you follow a few guidelines. When you arrive, please buy your admission ticket; a staff member will then direct you to your school's designated waiting area, where your child will join you after their orientation.

Additional Adults May...

  • Explore the exhibits with their field trip group
  • Bring additional children not part of the field trip group (Paid ticket required for children over 2)
  • Eat lunch with your school group at our covered picnic pavilion
  • Purchase MaxFlight tickets or gift shop items for your child

Additional Adults May Not...

  • Join orientation
  • Join students for planetarium shows, science shows, or hands-on labs
  • Eat lunch indoors with the school group during inclement weather
