Eclipse: The Sun Revealed
The Great American Eclipse of April 8, 2024 will be here before you know it. Whether you're in the path of totality or not, you'll want to be prepared!
This show explores historical and cultural views of eclipses illustrated in culturally inspired styles. Audiences will see the geometry that gives us both lunar and solar eclipses. They'll learn how to safely observe a total solar eclipse and what to expect during totality. They'll even discover how the study of one total eclipse helped verify the General Theory of Relativity!
This show includes two versions, one specifically highlighting the April 8, 2024 path, and a generic show for use any time, any place.
Eclipse: The Sun Revealed was produced by the Sudekum Planetarium at Adventure Science Center, with the generous assistance of the Sudekum Memorial Trust.

STARS: The Powerhouses of the Universe
Every star has a story. Some are as old as time, faint and almost forgotten. Others, new and bright, are created every day.
STARS focuses on the lives of the stars, how they are born, how they die, and how human understanding of the stars has changed over time.
The program features the voice talent of Mark Hamill. The Nashville Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Albert-George Schram, resident conductor, performed part of the soundtrack, composed by Pip Greasley.
Stars was produced by the Adventure Science Center with the National Space Centre in Leicester, UK. It was made possible, in part, by a gift from SunTrust Bank, Inc. and the Sudekum Memorial Trust.

Rusty Rocket's Last Blast
All rookies report to class! After decades of teaching the basics of rocket physics, Rusty Rocket has decided it's time to retire, and he already has plans for how he will spend his free time.
Still there is one final mission to command: an introductory tour of the solar system for a new class of rocket rookies focusing on the wide variety of planetary environments and the pioneering spacecraft that have gone before.
This is a complete fulldome reproduction of the original classic, slide-based show. This all new version features an updated script, new visuals, narration, and music, and the voice of "Ranger Doug" Green of Riders in the Sky, as Rusty Rocket.
Rusty Rocket's Last Blast is an original production of the Sudekum Planetarium at Adventure Science Center.
