February Theme: Engineering Month

This month, explore all things engineering as we uncover the science of coding, mechanics, medical engineering, and more!

Check out a few of the activities we're facilitating this month and explore the science behind it all.

Themed programming will take place:

Early Explorer Storytime Books and Activities

  • February 3: I am Leonardo da Vinci
    • Author/Illustrator: Brad Meltzer and Christopher Eliopoulos
    • Early Explorers will be given a wooden form and clay that they will use to sculpt a masterpiece!
  • February 10: This Little Engineer
    • Author/Illustrator: Joan Holub and Daniel Roode
    • Early Explorers will have a variety of blocks and other building materials available to build towers, bridges, and whatever else their engineering minds can think of.
  • February 17: The Brilliant Calculator: How Mathematician Edith Clarke Helped Electrify America 
    • Author/Illustrator: Jan Lower and Susan Reagan
    • Early Explorers will explore glow-in-the-dark ice cube sensory bags to see how electrifying engineering can be.  
  • February 24: Maybe I'll be an Engineer
    • Author/Illustrator: Tenille Bettenhausen and Ira Baykovska
    • Early Explorers will mix and match career buildings, outfits, and vehicles to come up with their perfect career!

Time: Every Monday at 9:30 am
Location: Eureka Theatre on the second floor
Ages: Pre-K (Kids Under Five)

Adventure Science Center is open:

Monday, Thursday, Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
